Usage Tips

Here are a few tips that will help the environment and reduce energy costs when operating an air conditioning installation:-

Ensure that the air conditioning installation system is regularly serviced by your air conditioning contractor to ensure that it is operating efficiently.

Do not set the thermostat of your home or commercial air conditioning system too high in winter and too low in summer.

Check that the timer is set correctly and that it switches off when the air conditioning installation system is not required (in the case of a corporate environment, public holidays, weekends, etc)

Make sure that the domestic or commercial air conditioning installation isn’t supplying conditioned air to unoccupied areas of a building.

Air Conditioning Maintenance

Just like a new car, your air conditioner requires regular servicing to maintain the systems efficiency and to help detect problems before they become a major issue. We recommend that you have your unit serviced annually.

We are happy to send out a service reminder to you when your system is due for its maintenance.

During a service, we perform the following checks and processes.

  • 1. Clean and flush the evaporator coil and condenser coil
  • 2. Clean and flush the condensate drains
  • 3. Check the indoor fans and clean to remove dust
  • 4. Check the ductwork for leaks
  • 5. Clean the return air filter and grille
  • 6. Check electrical connections and boards for loose connections and vermin damage
  • 7. Check the refrigerant charge and for gas leaks
  • 8. Test the operation of the machine and issue a written report
